🔥 Business Lint-Rolling: Finding Clarity in the Sand
It was 11 pm on a Friday, and I found myself lint-rolling my bed. Why? Because sometimes, life's little irritations demand creative solutions.
As an avid ocean-goer, sand is my constant companion. It clings to my feet, infiltrating my freshly washed sheets. That night, faced with a gritty bed and no time for laundry, I turned to an unconventional tool: the lint roller.
This moment crystallized how I've been feeling about my business lately. I have a solid foundation, but there are still sticky parts in my strategy. Like sand in my sheets, these issues irritate and distract me.
Just as I couldn’t do a full sheet wash at 11pm, I can't always dedicate entire days to deep-diving into business problems. Instead, I'm learning to "lint-roll" my business - addressing issues bit by bit with the time and resources at hand.
My biggest challenge? Creating content for myself. Despite crafting messaging for others, I struggle to see the forest for the trees in my work. I admire founders who produce concise, compelling content, but starting that process feels daunting. Please tell me I’m not the only one!
So, I'm taking a page from my lint-rolling playbook. I'm dumping thoughts onto blank pages, writing about topics like shoes and slides (see the link to my LinkedIn post below). Then, I'm using Claude to help reshape these raw ideas into more structured content, the prompt is below.
The lesson? You don't need to overhaul everything at once. Start with what you have, and build from there. In business (and bedrooms in this case), sometimes the unconventional approach is the key to comfort and clarity.
