🔥 Here’s a framework to help you create New Year’s Resolutions now
Why wait until December 28th to make New Year’s resolutions? At that point, the days are short, holiday treats are abundant (hello sugar cookies), and many of us are caught up in travel or family events. Starting big changes then makes it easy to feel overwhelmed or lose momentum fast. But what if, by January 1st, you already had a head start?
I’m not just thinking ahead—I’m acting on it now. With this post, I want to share the approach I’m taking and why it’s powerful for creating lasting change:
Work Backwards from Your Goal
If you want to write more, step up as a thought leader, or take on a new challenge, start by looking inward. Begin with a question like, “Who do I want to be by the middle of next year?” For me, that answer was clear: I wanted to be writing more, expand my network, and creating valuable resources for others. This reflection was my starting point.Create Small Habits Now
Building habits early sets you up for success. Instead of researching endlessly, pick one or two actions that align with your goals. For example, I committed to writing a weekly newsletter—even in busy weeks juggling clients and late nights. This habit means that by January, I’ll already have momentum, not just motivation.Map Out Key Areas of Focus
I recommend choosing three areas where you want to grow, whether that’s fitness, relationships, or professional skills. Then, choose one habit in each area and start now. These small steps create a foundation, making your goals feel achievable instead of daunting.Leverage Your Network & Technology
Recently, I was able to share a new workflow with an investor, one where clients send me voice notes that I streamline through a custom GPT agent I programmed. It’s saved us both time and stress, freeing us up for what really matters. If you’re creating new habits or goals, don’t go it alone—tap into your network for support and tech that can simplify your processes.
If you’re reading this, I know you’re as eager as I am to make a real impact. Create the groundwork now for a successful year ahead. Start writing, connecting, or exercising today, and give yourself the advantage of momentum.
PS- Amazon didn’t wait to release a new AI video generator for holiday ads, so why should you wait?
